Women's Golf Takes Second Place in Indiana

FRANKLIN, Ind. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team finished second at the Shootout at the Legends golf tournament here Tuesday afternoon, four strokes behind Texas. The Longhorns shot a 297, the best round of the day, and OSU shot 310 to fall from first place.
It was the third top-four finish for Oklahoma State this season as the Cowgirls finished fourth at the Dick McGuire Invitational and won the Big 12 Fall Preview.
Freshman Emma Zackrisson led the Cowgirls with a three-round total of 221, good for sixth place in the individual standings. JoJo Robertson finished eighth, the 10th top-10 finish of her career. Sophomore Maria Bodin shot a 225, one stroke above her season average, and finished 13th.
Erin Carney of Indiana won the individual title with a two-under-par 214, taking the lead from Texas' Salimah Mussani, who finished with a 216. Other Oklahoma State golfers in the tournament were Lotta Stromlid, who finished 20th with a 230, and Natasha Rowe, who finished 43rd with a 235.
The Cowgirls will take two weeks off before their final tournament of the fall season, the Hawaii Princeville Invitational, Nov. 2-3, in Kauai, Hawaii.
