Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at Rainbow Invite

HONOLULU - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl Golf team finished sixth at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Invitational here Thursday afternoon, shooting a 913 for the three-round tournament played at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course. Freshman Emma Zackrisson led OSU with a 20th-place finish, shooting a 12-over- par 228.
Arizona won the invitational, shooting a tournament-low 285 on the final round. Pepperdine finished second with a score of 899, followed by TCU (900), San Jose State (901) and Stanford (903) rounding out the top five. UA's Krissie Register won the individual medalist honors with a one-under 215.
OSU's JoJo Robertson tied for 27th with a 231, as did Maria Bodn. Lotta Stromlid tied for 33rd, and Natasha Rowe finished tied for 37th. It was the first tournament this season that a Cowgirl did not finish in the top 10 individually.
The sixth-ranked Cowgirls will return to action on April 5 as Oklahoma State travels to St. George, Utah, to compete in the BYU/Utah-Dixie Classic.
