Women's Golf Finishes Fourth At Dick McGuire Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team shot the best round of the tournament on the final day and moved up to a fourth-place finish at the Dick McGuire Invitational here Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Maria Boden shot a three-under-par 70 to finish third at the tournament.
OSU was in eighth place following Friday,s round, but fired a five-over 297 on Saturday for the only round under 300 in the tournament. USC won the team title with a 914 final score, nine strokes ahead of second-place TCU. Tulsa finished third with a 919, and Oklahoma State followed four strokes back at 923. Texas rounded out the top five teams with a 925.
Boden finished with a 220 in the tournament, six strokes behind individual champion Angela Stanford of TCU. USC's Jennifer Rosales finished second with a 216. OSU's JoJo Robertson finished 21st with a 232, while freshman Emma Zackrisson finished 39th with a 236. Natasha Rowe shot a 238 and finished 44th, while Lotta Stromlid rounded out the Cowgirl scorers with a 240, good for 51st. McKenzie Gibson, a redshirt freshman, shot a 264.
The Cowgirls return to action Oct. 2-4, as OSU competes in the Big 12 Fall Preview in Austin, Texas.
