Cowgirls Win Princeville Invitational

KAUAI, Hawaii - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team, led by Maria Boden, won the Princeville Rainbow Wahine Invitational here Tuesday at the Princeville Makai Golf Course. OSU, with a team score of 875, finished nine strokes ahead of second-place Oregon State.
Boden tied for third for her sixth top-five finish in 15 career tournaments. Her score of 216 was also the lowest three-round total of the season for the Cowgirl sophomore.
Oregon State shot a 289, tied with Oklahoma State for the lowest single-round total, in the final round to take over second place. UCLA finished third, while Ohio State and San Diego State rounded out the top five.
Nevada's Angie Yoon took the individual title with a four-under-par 212, outshooting Kathleen Takaishi of Oregon State by one stroke. The Cowgirls' JoJo Robertson finished tied for seventh, and Lotta Stromlid also finished in the top 10. Emma Zackrisson shot one-over for the final two rounds and moved >from 48th after round one to finish 15th.
The Princeville was Oklahoma State's final tournament of the fall season. The Cowgirls will return to action Feb. 22 as they compete in the UCLA Bruin Classic.
