First Round Quotes
OSU's Maria Boden: "I hit the ball very well today. It seems like I'm hitting the ball farther. Hopefully tomorrow I'll hit the ball as well as I did today. I'm just going to go out there and do my best."
Texas head coach Susan Watkins: "We're a little disappointed with our play today. We have some things to work out for tomorrow. But I'm not disappointed in the kids. They maintained their composure, and that's real important to me."
"The course is fine. The tee to the green was in pretty good condition and the greens are perfect."
Colorado head coach Anne Kelly: "We played great on the front nine, but had a tougher time on the back. The course is in good shape. I was encouraged today, but we need to find a way to finish strong. Hopefully the back nine will spur our team on to a good round tomorrow."
