Cowgirl Golfers Improve in Second Round of Rainbow Tournament

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Sixth-ranked Oklahoma State improved on its first-round score by 11 strokes as the Cowgirls moved up to seventh place after two rounds of the Dr. Thompson Rainbow Tournament at the Kaneohe Klipper golf course Wednesday.
Freshman Emma Zackrisson continues to lead OSU in Hawaii; she carded a 1-over-par score of 73 in Wednesday's second round and moved up to 10th place in the individual standings at 5-over (149) overall. Eva-Lotta Stromlids second-round 74 moved her past 15 competitors and into 27th place with a 36-hole score of 155.
The Cowgirls, who were eighth after Tuesday's first round, are just eight strokes out of fifth place but 21 behind first-place Arizona, which stands at 596 through 36 holes. OSU rebounded from a 26-over-par first round to card a 15-over score of 304 in the second stanza.
Maria Bod'n (32nd with a score of 156), JoJo Robertson (44th, 160) and Natasha Rowe (46th, 161) rounded out the OSU individual lineup.
The tournament concludes with one 18-hole round Thursday.
