Cowgirl Golf Drops to 10th at West Regional

HOUSTON - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team, ranked eighth in the latest edition of the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, dropped to 10th place here Thursday afternoon at the NCAA West Regional Golf Championships. The top 11 teams will qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Sophomore Maria Boden is tied for 10th place on the individual leaderboard, four strokes over par at 148. Jenna Daniels of Arizona, who shot a women's collegiate course record of 67 in the second round, sits atop the leaderboard at seven-under-par.
Daniels Wildcats also overtook Stanford in the team standings, leading the Cardinal by three strokes at 588. Stanford led the tournament after the first round, but UA shot an even-par 288 on the second day to take the lead.
OSU freshman Emma Zackrisson is tied for 24th with a 151, while Lotta Stromlid and JoJo Robertson are both tied for 54th with a 157. Natasha Rowe rounds out the Cowgirl golfers with a 173.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday with a final round of 18 holes.
