Avery Wright

Avery Wright begins her first season as a graduate assistant for the Cowgirl basketball program after having previously served as a championships assistant at the Big 12 Conference.
In her previous role she assisted with preparation for conference championships as well as regular season play while also assisting with NCAA Championship events.
Wright had a hand in helping conduct the 2021 Big 12 Football and Soccer Championships as well as the 2022 conference championships for men’s and women’s basketball, gymnastics, baseball and softball.
From December of 2020 to August of 2021, Wright worked as an intern for the Director of Athletics at Texas Tech. Wright also spent time as both a student and graduate assistant in the Texas Tech athletic department where she assisted with a variety of tasks.
Wright earned her degree in human resource development and political science from Texas Tech in August of 2020 before securing her master’s degree in sports management in December of 2021.
