2023-24 (Freshman):
Versatile freshman forward played every spot on the court, appearing 32 games with 16 starts… Averaged 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 22.3 minutes per game… Also totaled 24 steals… Made just under half of his 226 field goal attempts (.496)… Took on the sixth man role during the second half of the year and was often pressed into duty as an undersized center… First Cowboy off the bench in 11 of the last 15 games… Per KenPom, posted the team’s highest offensive efficiency rating (110.6) and ranked second among Big 12 freshmen in usage rate (22.3)… One of just six Big 12 rookies who were on the floor for more than half of their team’s minutes (55.0%) along with teammate Brandon Garrison… Scored in double-figures 14 times and notched a pair of double-doubles… Scored a season-high 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting in an overtime thriller against Oklahoma (Feb. 24)… Put up 13 points and a personal-best 11 rebounds against No. 15 Creighton (Nov. 30) and matched it two weeks later with 12 points and 11 boards vs. ORU (Dec. 17)... USA Basketball:
Has extensive experience in the USA Basketball program… In addition to this summer’s FIBA U19 World Cup tour, was included on the 2023 USA Men’s Nike Hoop Summit roster… Gold medalist on Team USA squads at the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas (Mexico) and the 2021 3x3 U18 World Cup (Hungary)… Played with his future OSU teammate Brandon Garrison at the former and won the slam dunk contest at the latter… Has also taken part in multiple USA Basketball minicamps… In May 2022 played with Stellazzura in the ANGT U18 Euroleague.
High School:
Consensus four-star recruit, rated as high as No. 35 in the Class of 2023… Chose OSU over Memphis and other opportunities in professional basketball... Team captain at national powerhouse IMG Academy… 2021 Max Preps Junior All-American helped his team to back-to-back semifinals at the Geico Nationals… Passed up reported offers from reported offers from Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan and other prominent programs to take a post graduate year at IMG while focusing on his body and his game… Played for the Georgia Stars on the 2022 EYBL circuit.

Born Jan. 15, 2004… Comes from a basketball family… Mother, Shell, played at Texas and has coached at the collegiate and professional levels with stops at Texas A&M, Florida and TCU (were she served three years as head coach) as well as the WNBA’s San Antonio Silver Stars and the ABL’s Nashville Noise… Father, Eric Sr., played for Moe Iba (son of legendary OSU coach Henry Iba) at TCU and professionally for 10 years in Europe, Asia and South America… Cites players like LeBron James, Paul George and Luka Doncic as NBA players who have had the most influence on his playing style.
