The 2025-26 campaign will mark the first as a full-time member of OSU head coach Jacie Hoyt’s staff for Cali Mercer, who assumes the role of Director of Basketball Administration for the program.

In her sixth year overall with the program, Mercer spent the 2024-25 season as a graduate assistant for the program. In that capacity, she had an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the program and was an instrumental figure in the squad’s travel preparations.

Mercer spent four seasons as a student manager with the OSU program where she served as head manager during her junior and senior years. A native of Miami, Okla., Mercer graduated in the spring of 2024 with a degree in sports management and a minor in marketing.

During her time as a manager, Mercer assisted with the day-to-day operations of the program, including practice setup, gear inventory and running the program’s ShotTracker system among various other tasks.

Mercer is a Manager of the Year award recipient from Grow the Game, an organization which was founded in 2020 to connect former and current student managers.

Her father, Rusty, was a manager for the Cowboy program under legendary head coach Eddie Sutton from 1990-94 and her brother, Caden served in the same capacity for the Cowboys from 2017-21.
