Cowgirls Add Offensive Playmaker To Roster
April 25, 2026 | Cowgirl Basketball
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team added another offensive standout to its arsenal on Saturday with the addition of Yuting Deng it was announced by Cowgirl head coach Jacie Hoyt.
"Ting is an excellent addition to our roster. She has elite size for a guard that will be a huge asset on both ends of the floor. The creativity she brings offensively is something that really excites me," Hoyt said.
"She can score with the ball in her hand and is exceptional as a catch-and-shoot shooter as well. Her ability to space the floor makes our team more lethal offensively. She has something very few players have, the clutch gene, with her ability to make big shots in big moments in big games."
A native of Hunan Province, China, Deng competed in 33 games last season for Baylor. She averaged 6.6 points and grabbed 1.9 rebounds per contest. Deng shot 42.3 percent from the floor and scored in double figures seven times on the year. Against Texas Tech, she poured in a season-best 22 points behind a 4-of-5 effort from the 3-point line.
Deng spent her freshman campaign at Auburn, where she joined the Tigers for the final 13 games of the 2024-25 season. She played in 12 contests on the year, making eight starts. During that time, she averaged 11.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest.
In addition to scoring a career-high 27 points and grabbing nine rebounds against Vanderbilt, Deng had three contests in which she hit four 3-pointers. She tallied six steals, five assists and two blocks on the year as well.
Deng represented China as a member of its U24 3x3 team at the Debrecen, Hungary FIBA Series and played for the U18 squad at the FIBA Asia Cup as well.
