International Competition:
Took second place at the USATF Junior Championships in the 5,000 meters to earn a berth to the 2017 Pan-American Junior Championships... Took fourth at the 2017 Pan-American Junior Championships with a time of 14:58.00.

2018 Outdoor 1,500 Meters
2020 Indoors: Finished fourth in the DMR at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 10:03.54… also was sixth at the meet in the mile at 4:18.84… posted a time of 4:11.09 in the mile to finish eighth at the Razorback Invitational… crossed the finish line in 2:29.70 at the Arkansas Invitational for eighth place.
2019 Cross Country: Competed in four events and scored team points in three of those… best finish came at the Big 12 Championships where he finished 19th with a time of 24:14.8 in the 8K.
2019 Outdoors: Ran six races for the Cowboys… Took eighth place in the 800 meters at the Arkansas Spring Invitational… Finished fifth place in the 1,500 meters at the John McDonnell Invitational with a season-best time of 3:50.88… Ran in the 5,000 meters and the 1,500 meter prelims at the Big 12 Championships.
2019 Indoors: Did not compete.
2018 Cross Country: Competed five times for OSU… turned in a top-20 performance at the Hurricane Invitational and was one spot shy of All-Big 12 status with a 16th place finish at the Big 12 Championships… placed fifth for the Pokes to score points towards the Cowboys’ 13th-place finish at the NCAA Championships.
2018 Outdoors: Ran the 1,500 meters five times… Opened his season at the Arkansas Spring Invitational and placed ninth in 3:54.89… Duplicated his time at the Arkansas Twilight… Went to the Big 12 Championships and qualified for the 1,500-meter final… Placed sixth in the final round of the 1,500 meters, earning his first All-Big 12 honor.
2018 Indoors: Raced four times for the Cowboys… Opened up his season at the Razorback Invitational where he crossed the line 24th in the Mile… Went to the Husky Classic to compete in the 3,000 meters and set a new personal-best time of 8:14.28… Ran in both the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters at the Big 12 Championships.
2017 Cross Country: Competed in three meets for OSU… Opened the season at the Cowboy Jamboree where he came in 40th… Took home a top-25 finish at the Penn State Open… Ended his season at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
2017 Outdoors: Did not compete.
2017 Indoors: Suited up five times for the Cowboys during his freshman season... Ran a personal best at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:17.72... Opened up his Cowboy career with a seventh place finish and personal best at the K-State Invitational in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:30.15... Clocked another personal best in the mile at the Arkansas Qualifier with a time of 4:07.65.
2016 Cross Country: Did not compete.
High School: Alec Haines was an integral piece of the team champion Lafayette High School squad in 2016… He ran with the two-time state champion 4X800-meter relay team and set the Missouri high school record in the event… Haines led Lafayette to two state cross country titles in 2014 and 2015, and was a member of the All-State cross country team twice… Off the track, Haines was a Bronze Cumulative Student Athlete.
Personal: Alec Haines was born Feb. 22, 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri, to parents Lindy and Donn Haines.
