• redshirted his sophomore year in college after transferring to Oklahoma State from Oklahoma City.
2007-08 (Freshman Season)
• played one year at Oklahoma City University under Ray Harper and current OSU Director of Player Development Tommy Wade.
• was a member of the NAIA National Champion Oklahoma City Stars team that finished the season 31-7 with a 75-72 victory over Mountain State in the title game.
•averaged 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 20 games for the Stars.
• started five games for OCU and averaging nearly eight minutes per contest.
High School
• lettered four years for coach Rusty Stecker at Broken Arrow High School.
•averaged nine points and seven rebounds per game his senior season.
• the Tigers lost in the first round of the Class 6A state tournament his final year.
• Broken Arrow advanced to the semifinals of the state tournament his freshman season before falling to Union.

Personal
Born August 1, 1988, Steven is the son of Carl and Rita Cantrell. He has an older brother, Greg. Both his brother and his cousin, Jason Voskuhl, attended OSU in the mid-1990s. His other cousin, Jake Voskuhl, played basketball for the Connecticut Huskies. Steven is majoring in business management at Oklahoma State.
