A three-year FBS starter … Left UAB when its football program was dissolved following the 2014 season and immediately stepped into a starting position at left tackle with Oklahoma State.
2015 (Junior): Started every game at left tackle and helped the Cowboy offense improve from 27.6 points per game and 378.8 yards per game in 2014 to 39.5 points per game and 480.0 yards per game in 2015 ... With Salako on the line, the Cowboys surrendered eight less sacks than the previous season without him.
2014 (Sophomore at UAB): Played for coach Bill Clark … Started all 12 games at left tackle … Was a key component of the UAB offense as a leader on the offensive line … Helped the team average more than 200 yards rushing per game and score 27 total rushing touchdowns in 2014.
2013 (Freshman at UAB): Saw action in all 12 contests and started 11 as a redshirt freshman in 2013 … Member of Conference USA commissioner’s honor roll.
