Lettered all four seasons at Memorial High School under coaches Sandy Farrell and Andy Rice ... was a member of the Large East squad at the All-State games ... was named first-team All-Region 7, as well as all-conference and All-Metro as a senior ... batted .414 her senior season ... played travel ball with the Oklahoma Rage and the Oklahoma Thunder ... her coach with the Oklahoma Thunder, Don Bianchi, coached Team USA in 1984 and is the father of former Cowgirl Shirley Bianchi ... Samantha also played on a Native American travel team, the Oklahoma Diamond Backs.
Personal
Born April 5, 1991, Samantha is the daughter of Jeff Chrisman and Tammie & Jerry Bowman. She has a brother, Wess, who plays football at Tulsa Memorial. Samantha is Native American (Cherokee and Choctaw) and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Psychology Club. In high school, she was a member of the Latin Club, the Yearbook Club and Student Council, and was ranked in the top 25 of her class. Samantha volunteered for the Feed the Hunger program. She is majoring in sports psychology at Oklahoma State.
