2024-25: Placed fourth at the NCAA Championships, which made him the 16th four-time All-American in program history … Reached the national semifinals for the second straight year … Went 22-6 on the season with 15 bonus-point wins … Spent just 3:11 on the mat through the first two rounds of the Big 12 Championships and reached the finals for the fourth straight year … Beat eight top-20 wrestlers … Became the 46th Cowboy to reach 100 wins and completed his career with 19 technical falls, tied for the fourth-most ever at OSU … Finished second at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.
2023-24: Had an outstanding debut season at 184 pounds, compiling a 31-4 record and reaching the NCAA finals for the first time in his career … Led the Cowboys in a number of categories, such as overall wins (31), dual match wins (14), dual points scored (60), ranked wins (19), bonus-point wins (25), falls (8), technical falls (9) and major decisions (8) … Had a bonus rate of 71.4%, the highest by a Cowboy since Daton Fix in 2021 … Three of his 19 victories against ranked opponents were in the top-5, the highest being Minnesota’s second-seeded Isaiah Salazar in the national semifinals … Downed No. 4 Trey Munoz in the dual against Oregon State, earning him his first Big 12 Wrestler of the Week award … Placed third at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational behind five ranked wins and a 6-1 overall weekend … Also secured top-10 wins against No. 5 Dylan Fishback of NC State and No. 10 Will Feldkamp of Iowa State … Took home top honors at the Lindenwood Open … Began the season with bonus points in his first seven matches and 10 of the first 11 … Finished runner-up at the Big 12 and NCAA Championships with losses to Northern Iowa’s top-ranked Parker Keckeisen in both championship matches … Became a three-time All-American after going 4-1 at nationals, which included major decisions over Penn State’s No. 6 Bernie Truax in the quarterfinals and No. 2 Salazar in the semifinals … Had a pin and pair of technical falls en route to his third Big 12 finals appearance in a row … Named an NWCA Scholar All-American for the third time, becoming one of 14 Cowboys to ever do so … Also selected to the Academic All-Big 12 Team for a third time.
2022-23: Earned All-America honors and won a conference title for the second year in a row at 174 pounds … Went 25-7 on the season with a 13-4 mark in duals … Also tied for the team lead with 17 ranked wins … Led all Cowboys with 85 takedowns … Got off to the best start in his career with 15-1 record early in the season … Went 5-0 to win the Southern Scuffle, which included a 12-7 victory over Missouri’s Peyton Mocco in the finals … Also knocked off top-seeded Mocco in the finals of the Big 12 Championships with a late takedown … Earned the No. 5 seed to the NCAA Championships where he went 4-3 to place sixth … Avenged a loss to No. 12 Aaron Olmos of Oregon State at the tournament and also collected wins over No. 15 Demetrius Romero of Utah Valley and No. 6 Ethan Smith of Ohio State.
2021-22: Made a huge jump as a sophomore as he went 21-6 overall and 13-3 in duals … Won his first Big 12 Championship as the top seed at 174 pounds with a late takedown and ride out of No. 11 Peyton Mocco of Missouri … Earned the No. 6 seed at his second NCAA Championships … Won his first two matches at nationals with 8-2 decisions over No. 27 Sal Perrine of Ohio and NIU’s 22nd-seeded Mason Kauffman … Battled back from a quarterfinal loss against Michigan’s No. 3 Logan Massa to defeat No. 7 Ethan Smith of Ohio State, 9-7, in sudden victory, which secured his spot on the podium for the first time in his career … Also avenged a loss to UNC’s Clay Lautt, who eliminated him from the 2021 NCAA Championships … Went 4-3 overall at the tournament, earning a sixth-place finish … Began the season 9-0 with four ranked wins in that stretch and finished the season with a 12-5 record against ranked opponents … Had five major decision victories and one fall on the season … Named to the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 First Team and the NWCA Scholar All-American list ... Won the 79 kg bracket at the U23 World Team Trials in June.
2020-21: Posted a 15-6 record and an 8-1 dual record as a true freshman starting at 174 pounds … Began his OSU career 10-0, winning five of his matches with bonus points … Picked up his first career fall against Triston Wills of Little Rock … Went 4-2 at the Big 12 Championships to collect fourth at the event … Went 1-2 as the No. 18 seed at the NCAA Championships … First ranked win of his career came against No. 15 Thomas Flitz of Appalachian State, 7-5, in his opening match before losing the next two to Utah Valley’s second-seeded Demetrius Romero and No. 16 Clay Lautt of North Carolina.
High School: Was coached by Matt Surber at Tuttle High School …Two-time Oklahoma state champion in 2018 and 2019 … Placed second at Fargo in back-to-back years … Named an All-American in 2016, ‘18 and ‘19 … Champion of the 2019 Super 32 tournament … High school teammates with fellow OSU signee, Luke Surber … Was a part of the National Honor Society and on the Tuttle High School honor roll.
