OSU Track & Field qualifies forty-three athletes for NCAA West First Round

Oklahoma State outdoor track & field officially qualified 43 athletes for the NCAA West First Round in Fayetteville, Ark., that will take place May 27-30.
The top 48 athletes in each individual event qualify for the NCAA First Round with the top 12 individuals and relays from each of the two regions advancing to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., in June.
The Cowgirls qualified 22 individuals across ten different events with the Cowboys adding 19 individuals in nine events, with both 4x400 Meter Relay squads also making the list. Along with the 43 regional qualifiers, Annie Molenhouse (Heptathlon) and Steven Schmidt (Decathlon) have already punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships as one of the top 24 athletes in their respective events this season.
On the women's side, Katie Chapman (100 Meter Hurdles), Elise Eikeland (400 Meter Hurdles), Kaylie Politza (800 Meters), Brooke Beck (800 Meters), Elyse Wilmes (800 Meters), Jinah Mickens-Malik (800 Meters), Kadence Huck (800 Meters), Paige Stuart (800 Meters), Aubrey O'Connell (1,500 Meters), Mandeep Sangha (1,500 Meters), Madi Surber (Steeplechase), Bella Nelson (Steeplechase), Payton Hinkle (Steeplechase), Isca Chelangat (5,000 Meters), Maureen Rutoh (5,000 Meters), Billah Jepkirui (5,000 Meters), Kileigh Mixon (High Jump), Zeddy Chongwo (Long Jump), Lauren Smith (Pole Vault), Burklie Burton (Hammer Throw), Rylee Jenkins (Hammer Throw), Rachel Neaves (Hammer Throw) and the 4x400 Meter Relay will all be competing in Fayetteville with national championship berths on the line.
For the Cowboys, Mason Page (400 Meters), Charlie Thorne (400 Meters), Will Bynum (400 Meters), Hafez Mahadi (800 Meters), Alex Riley (1,500 Meters), Oliver Patton (1,500 Meters), Keegan Thomas  (1,500 Meters), Laban Kipkemboi (Steeplechase), Denis Kipngetich (5,000 Meters), Brian Musau (5,000 Meters), Henry Dover (5,000 Meters), Will Conway (5,000 Meters), Kipngetich (10,000 Meters), Adisu Guadie (10,000 Meters), Jacob Deacon (10,000 Meters), Will Muirhead (10,000 Meters), Kevin Kemboi (Triple Jump), Michael Lunsford (Shot Put), Nate Collier (Discus Throw) and the 4x4 all qualified in their respective events.
Oklahoma State athletes ranked well outside the top 12 in their events during the regular season routinely outperform their rankings and punch their tickets to the national championships. In 2024, Taylor Roe and Molly Born were ranked No. 18 and 19 in the west region before placing third and fourth at the NCAA Championships for first team All-America honors. Â
