Cowgirl Golf wins Huntington Bank Collegiate; Silchenko claims co-medalist honors
April 07, 2026 | Cowgirl Golf
DALLAS – Oklahoma State women's golf finished competition at the Huntington Bank Collegiate on Tuesday, winning both the team and individual titles.
The Cowgirls closed with a 9-under 279 to secure the victory, bringing the team's weekly total to 839, 25 strokes under par.
This marks the eighth-lowest 54-hole score and the fifth-lowest score vs. par in program history. The 25-under effort is the Cowgirls' lowest combined score vs. par since Oct. 18, 2021, when OSU won the Jim West Challenge at 39 strokes under par.
Oklahoma State battled with SMU for possession of first place throughout the day before going 7-under over the event's final three holes to pull away to victory. OSU finished three strokes ahead of runner-up SMU and seven ahead of third-place UCLA.
Marta Silchenko captured the first individual win of her collegiate career, tying SMU's Mackenzie Lee at 13-under for co-champion status. This is the first time Cowgirl Golf has swept a tournament's team and individual titles since OSU and Maddison Hinson-Tolchard each won the 2023 Big 12 Championship.
Silchenko turned in a career-best 67-68-68—203 (-13) scorecard, tying for the ninth-lowest 54-hole score and sixth-lowest score vs. par in OSU history. Both are career-bests for Silchenko. The junior's first-round 67 also tied her career-low 18-hole score.
The Riga, Latvia, native carded 16 birdies compared to just 3 bogeys on the week. Silchenko has now recorded four consecutive top-10 finishes, the longest such streak of her career.
Yu-Chu Chen earned the first top-5 finish of her young career, placing fifth at 7-under. The true freshman played all three rounds at par-or-better, highlighted by a second-round 66 (-6) that tied for the tournament's individual low round and set a new career-best for Chen.
Ellie Bushnell was the third and final Cowgirl to finish under par on the week, tying for 12th at 4-under. The junior also played all three rounds at par-or-better, posting a 71-72-69—212 (-4) scorecard. Bushnell's 15 birdies tied for fifth-most among the tournament's 91-player field.
Tarapath Panya's 1-under 71 in the third round was her best of the week. Panya played all but one round at par-or-better, improving by one stroke each day to go 73-72-71—216 (E). The sophomore claimed a share of 22nd place, her second-highest individual finish of the season.
Summer Lee rounded out Oklahoma State's lineup, finishing in a tie for 34th at 3-over. Lee's week in Dallas was highlighted by an opening even-par 72.
The Cowgirls return to action on April 26 for the 2026 Big 12 Championship, where they'll look to capture the 26th conference championship in program history.
