Cowboy Tennis Signs Sydney Zick

STILLWATERÂ -Â Oklahoma State men's tennis team has added German standout Sydney Zick it was announced Monday by head coach Dustin Taylor.Â
"It's a really special day for Cowboy Tennis when you sign the likes of Sydney Zick," Taylor said. "We are absolutely thrilled to welcome him to Stillwater and the Cowboy Tennis Family."

Zick currently ranks 704th in the ATP world rankings and will bring his top-level experience to Stillwater. When it comes to ITF Junior Rankings, Zick sits at the No. 162 spot.

"Not only are we adding one of the most highly touted and skilled players in the 2026 class," Taylor said. "But we are also adding a player who has the character and grit that is needed to compete at the highest of levels."

The German has won junior titles at the J60 Maribor and the J60 Oberpullendorf in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Throughout his junior career, Zick has won 56 matches, with 27 coming on hard court surfaces.Â

Off the court, Zick visited the most colleges of any recruit in the history of college tennis before settling on OSU.

"Sydney's competitiveness and edge is built for college tennis," Taylor said. "And we cannot wait for him to join us this coming fall."

Zick will join the Cowboys for the 2026-27 season.
