Cowboy Tennis Welcomes Pavle Marinkov
January 10, 2026 | Cowboy Tennis
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team has signed Australian standout Pavle Marinkov, it was announced today by head coach Dustin Taylor.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Pavle to Stillwater and the OSU Tennis family," Taylor said. "While he's currently gearing up to make his grand slam debut at the Australian Open,
Marinkov comes to Stillwater as one of the highest ITF Junior and ATP Tour players to ever decide to take the collegiate route and we can't wait to provide it for him."
Marinkov has compiled numerous significant achievements throughout his young career, including his win at the U18 Australian Championships in December of 2022. He won the tournament without losing a set. The next year, he made his way to the third round of the 2023 Australian Open boys' singles competition.
His top victory as a junior came at the J200 Sydney, where Marinkov, who came in as the No. 3 seed, took home a decisive victory in the finals over fellow Australian Charlie Camus, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1.
"With all his success at the junior, and most recently at the tour level, Pavle brings an edge and belief that you have to have to compete for Big 12 and national championships," Taylor said. "That is the standard here at Oklahoma State."
Markinov will make his Grand Slam debut at the Australian Open this week.
