Quick Summary:
- Oklahoma State became the latest victim in third-ranked Iowa State's school-record 16-0 start.
- Parsa Fallah finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds and Anthony Roy added 19 points on five three-pointers for the Cowboys, who led by as many as nine points midway through the first half.
- Joshua Jefferson led a group of five double-figure scorers for ISU, which improved to 10-0 at home.
- Milan Momcilovic scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half, seven of them during a 14-4 run that erased OSU's early advantage.
- The Cyclones led 42-40 at halftime and took control with another 9-0 spurt in the early minutes of the second half.
- The Cowboys had the ball down six points near the 5:00-mark but missed a layup. Tamin Lipsey drilled a three on the opposite end, and the hosts maintained control the rest of the way.
- The Cowboys kept it close, despite playing without their second-leading scorer, Vyctorius Miller, who missed the contest due to injury.Â
- Iowa State held OSU to a season-low 71 points.Â
Series Info:Â
- The loss narrows OSU's all-time series lead over the Cyclones to 73-69.
- The Cowboys fall to 18-43 all-time in Ames (15-31 in Hilton Coliseum).
- ISU is one of three home-and-home opponents on OSU's 2026 Big 12 Conference schedule. The teams will meet again in two weeks at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Team Notes:
- OSU's 71 points were a season-low but still the most scored by a visiting team inside Hilton Coliseum this season.
- OSU has lost 14 consecutive Big 12 road games dating back to February 2024.
- This was the last of three straight OSU games against AP top-25 opponents. No. 3 ISU was one of seven Big 12 teams included in Monday's Associated Press Poll.
- Head coach Steve Lutz remains one victory shy of the century mark (99-56 in parts of five seasons).
- Oklahoma State used its 14th unique starting lineup of the season.Â
- The Cowboys scored on their first possession for the sixth straight game and got on the board before their opponent for the 14th time in 16 games this season.Â
- OSU won the first-half rebounding battle, 16-12, but ISU controlled the glass in the second half (24-10). The Cyclones outscored the Cowboys 40-24 in the paint and 15-4 off turnovers, helped by a 15-10 advantage in that category.
Individual Notes:
- Anthony Roy made five three-pointers and is 15-of-27 now in three Big 12 contests.
- Roy's run of 12 straight games with multiple threes is now tied for the third-longest such streak in program history with current OSU assistant coach Keiton Page (2012).
- Parsa Fallah recorded his third double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds. He's the first Cowboy with a 20-10 game in Big 12 play since Cade Cunningham had 40 points and 11 rebounds at Oklahoma on Feb. 27, 2021.Â
- Fallah reached the 20-point mark for the third-straight game, and the fifth time overall this season.
- The Cowboys were without their second leading scorer, Vyctorius Miller (averaging 14.9 ppg), who missed the contest with an ankle injury.
