TUCSON, Ariz. – Oklahoma State dropped a 3-1 match to Arizona Sunday at Mulcahy Stadium.

With the loss, the Cowgirls fall to 4-5-2 overall and 0-2-1 in Big 12 play, while UA improved to 7-4-0 and 2-1-0 in the league.

The two teams battled to a scoreless opening half as OSU's defense held strong against a Wildcats' side that tallied 12 shots, with goalie Logan Marks continuing her standout play with four saves.

The second half saw the Wildcats take control in the 62^nd minute as an own goal gave the home team a 1-0 advantage.

UA added two goals over the next 13 minutes, with Mireya Stephenson and Marissa Arnst finding the back of the net.

OSU would avoid the shutout on a goal by Sonora DeFini in the 89^th minute as she collected a free kick into the box by Sophie Wilson and delivered a shot to the far post. The goal was DeFini's third of the season.

The Wildcats finished the match with a 21-6 advantage in shots as well as a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

Marks recorded eight saves, one shy of her career high set last Thursday at Arizona State.

OSU returns to action Thursday night with a match at Texas Tech.
