Cowgirls Ready for Battle in the Bay

STILLWATER – Four members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team will open their fall season at the Battle in the Bay in San Francisco on Thursday.

Play will begin at 10 a.m. CT when three-seeded Cowgirls Marcela Lopez and Gracie Epps open doubles play against Lou Baudouin and Irene Riva of Sacramento State.

At the same time, Lucia Peyre and Rose Marie Nijkamp will face USC's Jana Hossam Salah and Imogen Haddad.

Singles play will begin later when Lopez open singles play against top-seeded No. 37 Anastasiia Grechkina of Pepperdine at noon CT. Third-seeded No. 50 Epps opens against Washington State's Eva Alvarez Sande at 2 p.m.

No. 53 Nijkamp enters the draw as a four seed and will take on Kayla Chung of UCLA at 4:30 p.m. No. 101 Peyre rounds out singles play at 5 p.m. against Irene Riva of Sacramento State.
