Israeli guard Guetta joins Cowboy Basketball roster

STILLWATER – Head coach Steve Lutz officially announced the addition of Daniel Guetta to Oklahoma State's 2025-26 men's basketball roster.
A 6-foot-2 combo guard who will turn 22 years old in August, Guetta is a former member of Israel's junior national team and has since gained experience at some of the highest levels of its domestic basketball league.
"Daniel is a poised, unselfish guard who knows how to run a team," Lutz said. "He controls pace, sees the floor well, and knows how to get others involved. He'll be a valuable piece in our backcourt."
Guetta played the 2024-25 season for Maccabi Rehovot in Israel's Liga Leumit, averaging 9.6 points and 4.7 assists in 34 games. He led the team in steals (30), shot 35% from deep and posted a better-than 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Before joining Rehovot, Guetta played parts of three seasons with Hapoel Gilboa Galil, where he helped the club claim the 2024 National League title and secure promotion to the Israeli Premier League.
In the Summer of 2023, Guetta was part of an Israeli junior national team that won a silver medal at the FIBA U20 European Championship.
Guetta's addition gives OSU five international players on the 2025-26 roster.
