Cowboy Tennis Outlasts Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team defeated Tulsa, 4-3, in a back-and-forth contest on Wednesday night at the Case Tennis Center.
The win improves the Cowboys to 5-8, while the loss drops the Golden Hurricane to 7-10.
The match came down to a deciding third set on court five, where Ian Bracks, the Tulsa native, defeated Reiya Komagata, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
The Cowboys dropped the match's opening point in doubles, as Alex Okonkwo and Timothy Seger defeated No. 48 Alessio Basile and Nicolas Kobelt, 6-1, and Calum Jestin and Will Pellegrini took down Isaac Becroft and Derek Pham, 6-2.
The Golden Hurricane claimed courts one and two in singles with No. 102 Okonkwo defeating No. 67 Becroft, 6-3, 6-4, and Luis Miguel downing Basile, 7-6 (2), 6-1.
OSU's Ben Stecker and Nicolas Kobelt both picked up their third-consecutive wins of the season, with Stecker besting Connor Doig, 6-2, 6-3, and Kobelt downing Nikola Puntaric, 6-2, 6-4.
To knot the match at three, OSU's Pham bested Seger, 6-4, 6-4, to give him his team-leading eighth win.
OSU returns home to open conference play against BYU on March 13 at 5 p.m.
