February 05, 2025 | Cowboy Tennis
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's men's tennis captain, Isaac Becroft, rose 51 spots in the first ITA rankings of the spring season.
In singles, No. 57 Becroft boasts a 3-1 record on court one and a 2-3 record in doubles, having played on all three courts with three different teammates.
The Cowboy's captain posts a 1-1 record against nationally ranked opponents this season. Becroft picked up a win against UCSB's No. 25 Gianluka Brunkow, 6-3, 6-4, and dropped his only match of the season to San Diego's No. 2 Oliver Tarvet, 6-0, 6-1.
Becroft has won back-to-back matches against Saint Louis' Andres Castellanos, 6-1, 7-5, and Nebraska's Calvin Mueller, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (8).
In both of his unfinished matches this season, Becroft has been tied or led in the third set but has never trailed. The New Zealand native is tied with Ian Bracks for the most wins on the team this season.
Barring a lineup change, Becroft is set for his third ranked matchup of the season this weekend in Seattle against Washington's No. 59 Cesar Bouchelaghem.
