Cowboy Tennis Set for Pair of Road Matches in Tennessee

The Basics
Oklahoma State's men's tennis team continues its seven-match road trip as it heads to the Volunteer State to face Middle Tennessee State on Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. and Memphis on Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. OSU will aim to push its winning streak against the Blue Raiders to three in a row. OSU has outscored MTSU in its last two wins, 8-5. The Cowboys will be seeking vengeance for their 2024 loss to the Tigers. OSU has never lost back-to-back matches to Memphis.Â

Meet the Cowboys
Graduate student Isaac Becroft leads the Cowboys. The captain is one of five returning players from last year's 18-10 squad that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Other returners include Alessio Basile, Francisco Pini, Derek Pham, and Ty Wunderlich. Head coach Dustin Taylor brought in six freshmen in this year's recruiting class, including Tennessee transfer Nicolas Kobelt, Ian Bracks, Thomas Gadecki, Matei Onofrei, Ben Stecker, and Finn Hopfe.Â

The Cowboys checked in at No. 5 in the Big 12 Preseason Coaches Poll after finishing fourth in the Big 12 tournament in the 2024 season. Isaac Becroft is the lone ranked Cowboy at No. 57. The captain of the team holsters a 3-1 singles record and is 1-1 against nationally-ranked foes. Becroft has a win against the No. 25 player in the country and fell to No. 2.
