Cowboy Tennis closes out week in Texas

College Station, Texas – Oklahoma State men's tennis ended their week in Texas at the UTR PTT College Station and the M25 Harlingen, tallying seven total wins.

Starting at Texas A&M, sophomore's Ian Bracks and Thomas Gadecki took on the UTR PTT College Station, a semi-pro tournament featuring collegiate athletes from across the region. The format featured five days of group play, followed by five separate playoff brackets.

Bracks went 2-2 in Group C, winning five of nine sets and 45 of 84 games during his group stage. His highlight came against Texas A&M's Ethan Sliva in the 09-12 playoffs, where Bracks, like he did with every win this week, took home a straight-set victory, 7-5, 6-1.

Gadecki faired similarly, also going 2-2 in the group stages before taking home a 09-12 playoff win. Of his three wins on the week, two were against TAMU, while his highlight came against Ohio State's JP Day, winning handily, 6-3, 6-2.

Down in Harlingen, junior Derek Pham played in the M25 Harlingen. Pham fell in the singles first round before grabbing a doubles win with professional Alex Nevfe, 6-3, 7-5.

The Cowboys will return this week to host the Cowboy Classic at the Greenwood Tennis Center from Nov. 7-9, followed by the UTR PTT Stillwater from Nov. 10-14, also at the GTC.
