Cowgirl Catalyst: Gray Powers Cowgirls to Second-Straight 50-Point Win
November 11, 2025 | Cowgirl Basketball
STILLWATER – Micah Gray netted five 3-pointers en route to a second-straight 50-point win, this time over Prairie View A&M, 105-55.
Gray poured in a season-high and game-high 25 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor. In addition, Gray went 5-of-12 from distance and her last 3-pointer tied the record for most 3-pointers by a team through five games since 1999-2000, with Lena Girardi surpassing that record just a couple of seconds later.
"This is our game," Gray said. "Shooting threes, playing fast and aggressive. We just put in the work and it's just paying off."
The native of Oklahoma City put in work on the glass, surpassing her season-high for rebounds at three. Gray also dished out three assists. Her play led to a +/- of +45.
Gray's effort showed on the defensive side as well. She took away three possessions from the Panthers and even swatted away a shot at the 8:43 mark of the second quarter.
For Gray, it's all about continuing to grow as a team.
"Just getting better each and every day," Gray said. "Staying disciplined and just knowing the work we put in, but we have to get 10 times better."
Gray and the rest of the Cowgirls will head on the road for the first time this season as they take on St. Johns on Nov. 19.
