FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma State dropped a 3-1 contest to No. 13 TCU Sunday at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium.
With the loss, the Cowgirls fell to 4-10-2 overall and 0-7-1 in Big 12 play, while the Horned Frogs moved to 12-2-1 and 6-1-1 in the league.
Emma Alvord scored for the second-straight game for OSU, which was outshot 18-5 in the match.
TCU tallied its first goal less than 10 minutes into the contest when Sydney Becerra delivered a low, left-footed shot into the net from 21-yards out.
The Horned Frogs continued to control the attack and doubled their lead in the 40th minute when Grace Vest collected a pass into the box and converted a seven-yard shot to the near post to make the score 2-0.
At the break, along with the two-goal lead, the home team owned a 10-1 advantage in shots, and that attack led to a third goal in the 54th minute as Emma Yolinsky made it a 3-0 game.
The Cowgirls would get on the scoreboard less than two minutes later. Sophie Wilson made a great run down the sideline before delivering a perfect pass into the box, where Alvord chipped it to the far post for her second goal of the week and third of the season. It also marked OSU's first goal against TCU since 2020.
