CINCINNATI – Oklahoma State dropped a 1-0 contest to Cincinnati Thursday night at Gettler Stadium.
With the loss, the Cowgirls fell to 4-11-2 overall and 0-8-1 in Big 12 play, while UC improved to 4-7-6 and 2-5-2 in the league.
OSU was outshot 17-8 in the match, while both teams recorded five corner kicks. Logan Marks, who leads the Big 12 in saves, finished with four saves.
UC scored the lone goal in the match's 38th minute as a pair of passes led to a shot from Rylee Felton from the top of the goal box that she delivered to the near post.
The Cowgirls' best scoring chances came in the opening half as they produced a pair of shots on goal. But both shots were saved by Camryn Miller as she stopped an attempt by Emma Alvord and later made a leaping save to deflect a long distance shot from Xcaret Pineda over the crossbar.
Marks recorded all four of her saves after intermission. The sophomore now has 82 on the season, which ranks 10th on OSU's single-season list, and she moved into ninth on the program's career list with 83.
The Cowgirls return to action Sunday at 22nd-ranked West Virginia, with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m. (CDT).
