Cowgirls sit 11th after first round of Stanford Intercollegiate

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Oklahoma State women's golf team teed off its final fall tournament on Friday at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
The Cowgirls combined for a 7-over, 291-stroke first round. Currently sitting in 11th place, OSU trails the leading Stanford Cardinal by 20 strokes.
Ellie Bushnell carded six birdies en route to a 1-over 72, tied for the lowest first-round score on the team.
Marta Silchenko matched Bushnell with a 72, firing an even-par 35 on the front and a 1-over 37 on the back to join her teammate in 32nd place.
No. 34-ranked Grace Kilcrease opened with a 1-under 34 on the front nine, finishing at 2-over par with a 73.
Tarapath Panya shot a 37 on both nines, ending the day at 3 strokes over par with a 74.
Sophomore Summer Lee added a 75 (+4).
The Cowgirls resume play Saturday at 1:45 p.m. CDT, for the second of three rounds.
