Big 12 releases 2025 men's hoops schedule

More teams, more games, same elite competition. The Big 12 released 20-game conference men's basketball schedules for all 16 member schools on Thursday.
Tipoff times and TV assignments will be announced when available.
Oklahoma State will start and finish conference play at home this season.
Houston comes to town Monday, Dec. 30 for the Big 12 opener, and the Cowboys celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, March 8 against Cincinnati.
Following a Tuesday, Jan. 7 visit from Kansas State, OSU will play each of its next four home games against Big 12 newcomers.
The Arizona Wildcats make their Gallagher-Iba Arena debut on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
That stretch also includes weekend visits from Colorado (Saturday, Jan. 18), Utah (Feb. 1) and Arizona State (Sunday, Feb. 9).
Texas Tech (Saturday, Feb. 15), UCF (Wednesday, Feb. 19) and Iowa State (Tuesday, Feb. 25) round out the February home slate.
The Cowboys will knock out three of their longest Big 12 trips early, starting with a Jan. 4 visit to West Virginia, followed by a road swing through Utah (Jan. 11) and BYU (Jan. 14).
They'll also travel to Orlando, Fla. during the final week of the regular season to take on UCF (Mar. 5).
In between are six road games in bordering states: Texas Tech (Jan. 26), Kansas State (Jan. 29), Houston (Feb. 4), TCU (Feb. 12), Kansas (Feb. 22) and Baylor (March 1).
The Big 12 has finished with the nation's highest NET average in each of the last four seasons, cementing its status as the top men's basketball conference.
Under the new 16-team, 20-game format, each school was assigned five home-only, five road-only and five two-play opponents, based on a combination of geography, historical results and a polling of the league's coaches to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness.
All teams will compete for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship, from Tuesday, March 11 through Saturday, March 15, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.
As previously announced, Oklahoma State will host a charity scrimmage against SMU on Saturday, Oct. 26 before officially opening the Steve Lutz era on Monday, Nov. 4 against visiting Green Bay.
