Cowgirl Basketball Unveils Big 12 Schedule

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has finalized its schedule for the upcoming season with the announcement of the Big 12 Conference slate by the league office today.
This season is the first for the conference with 16 members with Arizona, Arizona State and Utah making their Big 12 debuts and Colorado rejoining the league.
Teams will play three opponents home and away while facing six teams only at home and six opponents only on the road for a total of 18 conference games. Opponents were selected based on a combination of geography, historical results and a poll of the coaches to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness.
The Cowgirls will begin league play on Dec. 21 when they host Iowa State in Stillwater. OSU will begin the new calendar year with its first league road test on Jan. 1 at Baylor before returning home to face Kansas on Jan. 4.
Head coach Jacie Hoyt's squad will travel to Cincinnati on Jan. 8 before a home date with West Virginia on Jan. 11.
OSU will make a two-game road swing with a Jan. 14 tilt at Houston preceding a Jan. 18 contest at UCF. The Cowgirls will return home to take on TCU on Jan. 22 before heading to Texas Tech for a Jan. 25 contest.
Arizona State will pay a visit to Gallagher-Iba Arena on Jan. 29 before the Cowgirls head east to face West Virginia on Feb. 1. One week later, Kansas State will tip off OSU's two-game homestand with Arizona set to visit on Feb. 12.
The Cowgirls will make a two-game swing through the state of Utah beginning with a Feb. 15 game at BYU and concluding with a Feb. 18 contest at Utah.
Colorado will make its way to Stillwater on Feb. 22 before Cincinnati comes to town on Feb. 26 to close OSU's home slate.
The Cowgirls' final road trip of the year will come on March 2 when they travel to Kansas to close out the regular season.
