September 15, 2024 | Cowgirl Tennis
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Ange Oby Kajuru and Anastasiya Komar of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team won the doubles title at the Battle in the Bay in San Francisco, California, on Sunday.
The nationally No. 1 ranked pairing bested TCU's No. 12 duo of Isabel Pascual and Jade Otway, 8-2, to claim the title. The win marks the first official doubles title for Kajuru and Komar since becoming partners last fall.
Kajuru was also slated to play in the singles final on Sunday but did not due to injury, giving Georgia's Anastasiia Lopata the title.
The Cowgirls will be back in action in a pair of tournaments next weekend, beginning with the KSU Wildcat Invite in Manhattan, Kansas, on Friday before the ITA All-American Championships begin play in Cary, North Carolina, on Saturday.
