Cowboy Tennis’ Bracks Wins Title in Waco

STILLWATER – In his first action as a member of the Oklahoma State men's tennis team, Ian Bracks won his draw at the Waco Fall Kickoff Classic on Sunday.
The freshman went 3-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles with partner Francisco Pini.
Bracks picked up wins over Texas Tech's Brody Nejedly, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), UTSA's Miguel Alonso, 3-6, 7-5, 5-0 (inj. Forfeit), and Texas A&M's Lathan Skrobarcek, 6-2, 6-3.
In other singles play, Pini went 1-2, picking up a walkover win against LSU's Louis Bowden and dropping matches to TCU's Julian Alonso Vivanco, 4-6, 7-5, 6-0, and UTSA's Tiago Torres 6-2, 7-5.
Ty Wunderlich also tallied a 1-2 record on the weekend. The sophomore won his final match against Texas' Rahul Sachdev, 6-2, 6-4, and dropped matches to Texas Tech's Felipe Pagnacco, 6-4, 7-5, and LSU's Jamie Diack 6-4,1-6, 2-4 (RET. injury).
In doubles, Bracks and Pini won third place, going 2-1 on the weekend. Picking up wins over UTSA's Torres and Alonso, 6-2, and Baylor's Quintan Van Wijk and Marko Miladinovic, 7-6 (8-6). Their lone loss came to eventual champions out of Tulsa, Timothy Carlsson Seger and Gus Tettamble, 6-4.
Oklahoma State returns to action Monday, as it sends Isaac Becroft, Alessio Basile and Derek Pham to the Fayetteville Future.
