Cowboy Tennis Sets Program Record With 10 ITA Scholar-Athletes

STILLWATER- Ten members of Oklahoma State's men's tennis team were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes on Monday, setting a new program record.
Alessio Basile, Alex Garcia, Carl Roothman, Derek Pham, Erik Schiessl, Fran Pini, Isaac Becroft, Leighton Allen, Sammr Raina and Tyler Wunderlich made up the Cowboys who earned the honor, breaking the previous record of seven ITA Scholar-Athletes set in 2022. Additionally, OSU was named an ITA All-Academic Team.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athletes, students must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale) with all included student-athletes listed on the institutional eligibility form and have all varsity letter winners factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
