STILLWATER – Tyler Zink and Isaac Becroft of the Oklahoma State men's tennis team earned All-Big 12 honors, it was announced today by the league office.
Zink and the Becroft-Zink doubles pairing earned first-team honors, while Becroft was named to the All-Big 12 second team.
The 10th-ranked Becroft and Zink pairing recorded its first All-Big 12 first team honor as partners. They went 5-0 on the season, with all five wins coming on court one against conference foes. The tandem collected four ranked wins, including a victory over Texas' No. 22 Eliot Spizzirri and Siem Woldeab, leading to an OSU doubles point in the Big 12 semifinals. The court one spark plug helped the Cowboys win the final five doubles points, three in the regular season and two in the conference championships.
Zink, the nation's 24th-ranked singles player, was named to the second All-Big 12 team in his three year Big 12 Conference tenure. Named to the singles second team a season ago, it marks his first All-Big 12 first team appearance. He tallied four wins in conference play, including victories over Baylor's No. 68 Tadeus Parolek and UCF's No. 123 Lleyton Cronje.
Becroft accumulated his first All-Big 12 singles honor, landing on the second team. He recorded two wins over Big 12 opponents, helping OSU earn wins over Texas Tech in the regular season and UCF in the Big 12 quarterfinals.
