Cowboy Tennis Pairing Ranks 19th, Team Holds Steady at No. 33

STILLWATER – Tyler Zink and Isaac Becroft appeared at No. 19, while Oklahoma State's men's tennis team held steady at No. 33 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association DI poll it was announced today.
OSU also earned three singles rankings, with Zink checking in at No. 20, Alex Garcia at No. 83 and Becroft at No. 86.
The Zink and Becroft pairing jumped up to No. 19, 11 spots higher than last week's ranking and four spots above their previous best. It is the program's first top-20 doubles ranking since Zink and Sebastian Nothhaft in 2022.
After earning a ranking in the fall with a win at the Stillwater ITA Fall Regional, Becroft and Zink got right back on track in 2024 with a 2-0 overall start, both in conference play. The pairing commanded wins over Texas' 62nd-ranked Eliot Spizzirri and Siem Woldeab and Baylor's No. 29 Tadeus Paroulek and Zsombor Velcz, both leading to an OSU doubles point.
OSU tallied its 16th win, the most since the 2019 season. The Cowboys recorded their 12th win at the Greenwood Tennis Center this year with a 4-2 win over 31st-ranked Baylor. OSU also owns wins over No. 5 Southern California and No. 11 Illinois.
No. 20 Zink notched his seventh-consecutive ranking in the top 30. His third highest this season, he reached a ranking as high as No. 15 in the country on Feb. 20. He boasts a team high 15 wins in singles action, all on court one.
Garcia landed in the rankings in all six spring season polls. The graduate holds 11 wins in singles action, with eight coming on court two and three on court three. He also owns a win over Middle Tennessee State's No. 47 Marcel Kamrowski.
Becroft is second in singles wins with 14, one back from the team lead. His ranking marks the third-consecutive week in the rankings. He earned a winning record against ranked opponents this season, including a victory over Illinois' No. 30 Karlis Ozolins.
The Cowboys will be back in action against a ranked foe when they take on No. 9 Oklahoma on Saturday at 1 p.m. (CST) in Norman.
