Cowboy Tennis Notches Three ITA Rankings

STILLWATER – Tyler Zink, Alex Garcia and one doubles pairing of the Oklahoma State men's tennis team were ranked in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association computerized rankings, it was announced today.
Zink checked in at No. 21, logging a 5-2 record through eight matches. The ranking marks the third time he has appeared in the top 30 as a Cowboy.
The graduate dropped Middle Tennessee State's No. 25 Leo Raquin, 7-5, 7-5 to help the Cowboys overcome the Blue Raiders, 4-2, on Jan. 19.
Garcia appeared 32nd in the ITA rankings, jumping up 16 spots from his previous ranking on Nov. 15. The Leon, Spain, native is tied for a team-best five wins in singles action. He also tallied a ranked win this season, defeating MTSU's No. 47 Marcel Kamrowski, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 from the two spot.
Senior Isaac Becroft and Zink breached the top 30, appearing at No. 26. The duo went 8-2 in the fall and secured four matches in a row to win the ITA Fall Regionals in Stillwater. The win punched a ticket to ITA Fall Nationals where they tallied a victory over Mississippi State's Petar Jovanovic and Benito Sanchez Martinez, 5-7, 7-5, 10-2.
