Cowgirl Tennis Set for Freeman Memorial Invitational

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team will open its 2024 schedule at the Freeman Memorial Invitational this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tournament play will begin on Friday with doubles starting at 1 p.m. CT followed by singles play. The tournament will continue on Saturday and Sunday with the completion of the four singles draws and two doubles draws.
This is the third consecutive year Oklahoma State has opened its spring schedule at the tournament hosted by UNLV, with seven Cowgirls slated to be in action.
Ange Oby Kajuru, Anastasiya Komar, Lucia Peyre, Ayumi Miyamoto, Safiya Carrington, Raquel Gonzalez and Kristina Novak will all compete in the various singles draws.
In the doubles brackets, Kajuru and Komar will play together, while Gonzalez and Miyamoto will pair and Carrington and Novak will team up.
The Cowgirls were ranked sixth in the country in the ITA preseason rankings that were released last week, marking the highest preseason ranking in program history. OSU will open its dual season by hosting No. 5 Michigan on Jan. 19 followed by No. 14 Ohio State visiting Stillwater on Jan. 21.
