Becroft named Big 12 Newcomer of The Year, Zink earns second-team honors

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's tennis standout Isaac Becroft is the 2023 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, while Tyler Zink earned a spot on the Singles All-Big 12 Second Team, it was announced today by the league office.
In his first year in competition as a Cowboy, Becroft is 11-5 in singles, seeing action on courts two, three and four. He sports a .500 or better winning percentage on all three courts, including a 5-1 record on court three. At one point of the season, he climbed to No. 78 in the ITA singles rankings.
In doubles, he has seven wins teaming up with partners Zink and freshman Alessio Basile. The doubles team of Becroft and Zink reached as high as No. 60 in the ITA rankings during the regular season.
OSU's No. 1 singles player all season, Zink has 12 singles victories to lead the team and has three wins over ranked opponents, headlined by a straight-set triumph over No. 33 Stefan Dostanic from USC. His play shot him into ITA's top 100, posting a ranking as high as No. 89.
In doubles, he contributed 11 victories with three different partners, all boasting a .500 or better winning percentage.
