Cowgirl Golf Welcomes Transfer Sifat Sagoo To Program
December 21, 2023 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women's golf head coach Greg Robertson announced the addition of talented future Cowgirl Sifat Sagoo on Thursday.
Sagoo, a transfer from Purdue, played in 20 tournaments across four years with the Boilermakers, netting multiple accolades, including a second-team All-Big 10 nod.
"We're excited to have Sifat join us this spring," Robertson said. "She is a very good player who helped play a big part in Purdue's success. She has a lot of experience at the college and international levels and will be a great addition to our team."
From New Delhi, India, Sagoo carded three top-20 finishes, including a pair of top-10 placements with Purdue. As a freshman, she earned second-team All-Big 10 honors, highlighted by an impressive 6-under 210 (71-71-68) at the 2020 ICON Invitation to notch a runner-up finish.
She also played a pivotal role in Purdue's 12th-place finish at the 2022 NCAA Championships, with all four of her rounds counting toward team score. At the NCAA Stanford Regional, she helped punch the Boilermakers' ticket, tying for 19th in the field with rounds of 69-76-72.
Graduating with a bachelor of science with a cornerstone certificate this month – Sagoo also made her mark in the classroom – receiving WGCA All-American Scholar honors (2021) and Academic All-Big 10 honors (2021, 2022) in West Lafayette.
At the international level, she also carries a highly decorated track record. Debuting in 2015, Sagoo has participated in 70 WAGR events (45 non-collegiate), most recently doing so in November 2022.
Across amateur play, she has racked up 22 top-five finishes and four wins, headlined by a victory at the 10th Warren-MST Amateur Open in 2018. Following the 2020-21 Big 10 Championship, she finished on the podium at the Women's Porter Cup and Women's Western Amateur Championship, finishing in second and third place, respectively.
Sagoo joins the Cowgirls as their 10th member of the roster entering the spring season, which tees off Feb. 4 at the Puerto Rico Classic.
