Cowboy Tennis appears in ITA National Rankings

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team was well represented in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's final fall rankings, it was announced today.
Tyler Zink earned a ranking of No. 17 in singles, while Alex Garcia appeared at No. 48. In doubles, Zink and Isaac Becroft checked in at No. 23, rounding out the fall rankings for OSU.
The national rankings include the Top 125 singles rankings and the top 60 doubles rankings.
Zink, the Cowboy's court one player in 2023, headlined for the Pokes, appearing as the highest-ranked player for OSU. He went 8-2 in the fall 2023 campaign, including a win at the ITA Fall Regionals at the Greenwood Tennis Center. He also logged a seven-match winning streak from Oct. 18 to Nov. 1.
Garcia tallied a 7-3 record in singles action, advancing to the final round of the ITA Fall Regionals. He logged five wins during the tournament, four of which he won in straight sets. With his placement in the regional tournament, Garcia was one of 32 players to earn a bid to the ITA Fall National tournament.
The tandem of Becroft and Zink had a successful fall season, coming in at 8-2. The pairing won five matches en route to a win at the Fall Regional tournament, also earning a bid to Fall Nationals. In early October, the duo claimed two wins at the ITA All-American Championship.
