Lior Garzon Garners Preseason Recognition

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's Lior Garzon received honorable mention all-league status on Wednesday with the announcement of the Big 12 women's basketball preseason awards as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Cowgirl senior enjoyed a breakout campaign a year ago in her first season in Stillwater. Garzon saw action in 33 games, making three starts.
A native of Ra'anana, Israel, Garzon set the school's single-season mark with her 80 made 3-pointers. The 6-1 forward finished the year ranked in the top 25 nationally in 3-point field-goal percentage at 41 percent.
The Cowgirl sharpshooter finished the year as the squad's second-leading scorer at 10.8 points per game and became the first Cowgirl to average double figures in a reserve role since Toni Young in 2011-12.
Garzon and the Cowgirls will get their season underway on Oct. 31 when they host Oklahoma Christian in exhibition action.
