Zink Wins Singles Title, Cowboys Claim Doubles Title

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Tyler Zink claimed the ITA Central Region singles title before teaming with Isaac Becroft to win the doubles title on Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.

Zink defeated teammate Alex Garcia, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. An appearance in the finals earned Zink and Garcia a ticket to ITA Fall Nationals taking place Nov. 1-5, in San Diego.

The two Cowboys played in six singles matches en route to the final round. Zink went 6-0 and Garcia went 5-1 in the tournament.

Additionally, Zink and Isaac Becroft claimed the doubles title, defeating Alejandro Gandini and Matthew Lanahan (Creighton), 6-2, 5-7, 10-6. The tandem went 5-0 in the tournament. The win also punched a ticket to the ITA Fall Nationals doubles tournament.
