Avery Anderson III Named Big 12 Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas --- For his efforts in the wins over Oklahoma and Iowa State last week, Oklahoma State men's basketball's Avery Anderson III has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Anderson recorded 32 points on the week to help lead the Cowboys to a perfect 2-0 record, highlighted by OSU erasing a 16-point deficit against the Cyclones to secure the victory. He notably recorded zero turnovers with five assists and 14 points in the win over the Sooners.

On the year, Anderson is averaging 11 points per game with 3.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds. The honor is his first of his career.

Anderson and the Cowboys return to action Tuesday night in Austin when they face No. 10 Texas at 8 p.m. CT on Longhorn Network in search of their third-straight win.
