Catching Up With The Professional Cowgirls

It was an eventful month of September for the former Cowgirls on tour, highlighted by Maja Stark's meteoric rise onto the LPGA forefront.
In August, Stark was victorious at the ISPS Handa World Invitational to earn her ticket to LPGA membership. She then decided to join the tour immediately, and will compete as a rookie throughout the rest of the year.
With the result, Stark became the 24th former Cowgirl to receive her LPGA tour card.
Stark had previously been playing on the Ladies European Tour, where she racked up four career tournament wins since joining the LET in 2021.
Earlier this month, Stark made her debut as an LPGA member at the AmazingCre Portland Classic, where she carded an outstanding 16-under 272 to end the weekend in 8th place. Her clutch 66 in the final round jolted her to into the top-10, and was tied for the third lowest score of the day.
Stark also competed in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, gaining more valuable experience on the LPGA stage.
Many have taken notice to Stark's splash on the scene, and she is widely viewed as one of the quickest rising young stars in the game. She ended the month as the 51st ranked player in the CME Globe Cup standings.
Caroline Masson's September was headlined by a stellar performance at the Dana Open at the beginning of the month. There, she fired a 16-under 268, the lowest 72-hole score of her career, on her way to a 3rd-place finish. The result was Masson's highest since October of 2021, and marked the 31st top-10 performance of her career.
In addition, Masson participated in the AmazingCre Portland Classic and the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. She owns a 72nd spot in the Rolex rankings, and is just behind Stark at 53rd in the CME Globe Cup standings.
Linnea Johansson finished 66th after carding a 2-under 211 at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. She also competed at the Kroger Queen City Championship and AmazingCre Portland Classic.
Johansson is ranked 139th in the CME Globe Cup standings, and is still building her LPGA resume after joining the tour back in 2020.
Veteran Pernilla Lindberg had a busy September, playing in all four LPGA events. Her best result came at the Kroger Queen City Championship, where she recorded a T-36 finish after carding a 4-under 284.
The T-36 performance was her best of the 2022 season thus far, while her 284 equaled the lowest 72-hole score of her 2022 campaign.
This upcoming weekend, Stark, Masson and Johansson will all meet at The Ascendant LPGA at the Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas.
