Six Cowgirls Earn Academic Honors

STILLWATER, Okla. – Six members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team were honored for their academic work with the announcement of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division I Scholar-Athletes by the ITA this week.
Additionally, head coach Chris Young's squad was recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team.
Fifth year Martina Zerulo, seniors Lora Boggs and Lisa Marie Rioux, junior Alana Wolfberg as well as freshmen Oona Orpana and Sofia Rojas all received the distinction for OSU.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and must be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
As a team, the Cowgirls finished this spring with a 3.73 GPA.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, a program must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale). Additionally, all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
