Luke Hammond Earns Academic Honors

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's men's tennis standout Luke Hammond was named a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection it was announced today by the league office.

The honor marks the second time Hammond has received the distinction during his career. A native of Birmingham, United Kingdom, he was also named to the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 squad.

First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.

Hammond and the Cowboys (12-11 overall; 0-5 Big 12) will begin postseason play against Texas (15-9; 3-2) in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championships on Friday, April 22 at 3 p.m.
